GARDEN CLUB

NBK Parks’ Garden Club is a volunteer-driven program that invites community members to dig in – literally and figuratively! – to help care for North Brooklyn’s green spaces. Hosted at three parks across Williamsburg and Greenpoint, Garden Club events are led by seasoned horticulturalists and offer hands-on opportunities to plant, weed, mulch, and learn about native species and sustainable horticulture practices.

Garden Club is offered every weekend, Sundays from 10AM – 12PM, from April through November in three distinct spaces: Bushwick Inlet Park, McGorlick Park, and Under the K Bridge Park. All are welcome, and is designed to be welcoming, educational, and impactful offering for our community volunteers.

More on the large parks where we work:

– Bushwick Inlet Park (50 Kent Ave between 11th and 12th St): a waterfront park defined by its Manhattan views and abundance of flowering pollinator plants.

– Under the K Bridge Park (Meeker Ave and Van Dam Street): a unique 7-acre park under the BQE, where you’ll tend to the native plant nursery, our ecological lab for cultivating biodiversity amongst heavy industry.

– McGolrick Park (Nassau Ave between Russell and Monitor Streets): an Olmsted-era neighborhood park with a stunning mature tree canopy.

2026 Garden Club dates will be announced soon!
