NBPA Announces New Leadership

The North Brooklyn Parks Alliance is pleased to announce Katie Denny Horowitz has been named Executive Director of the nonprofit parks conservancy dedicated to improving, maintaining, and creating parks and open spaces across Greenpoint and Williamsburg.

Horowitz brings nearly two decades of public and nonprofit experience to the. She arrives at NBPA after six years of leading the fundraising, communications, and government relations at Socrates Sculpture Park in Long Island City, Queens, and had previously served as the Director of Development for New Yorkers for Parks and the Director of Special Projects at the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs. A longtime Greenpoint resident, Katie has held past volunteer positions with the Open Space Alliance (OSA), Greenpoint Waterfront Alliance for Parks and Planning (GWAPP), the North Brooklyn Public Art Coalition, and the Greenpoint Community Environmental Fund (GCEF).
