Elected officials, NYC Parks, members of the 94th precinct, PS110 and park goers gather for the McGolrick Park Playground ribbon cutting this Wednesday
We could not have asked for a more beautiful autumn day to celebrate the reopening of the McGolrick Park Playground this Wednesday, November 7. Attendees were able to hear from our elected officials, including Council Member Levin, who kindly noted that he believes McGolrick Park to be “the best in Brooklyn”.
The new playground and renovations, costing more than $2.6 billion, was a long awaited addition to the park. Families waited anxiously for several months while renovations were taking place; to finally see the beautiful new playground certainly makes all of the hard work, labor and patience worth it.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the McGolrick Park Neighborhood Alliance, our dedicated community activists and NYC Parks for making this new playground possible. We can’t wait to enjoy the playground with you, and we look forward to more fresh park transformations: announced at Wednesday’s ribbon cutting, pathways throughout the park will be renovated, and construction is scheduled to begin in March of 2019.
